A Movie? WHY 319?

A few weeks ago another author notified me that they were in consideration to have one of their novels turned into a movie.  It’s a process where authors can have their books voted on by the public. Those who garner the most votes will move into the next level.  From there it can be seen by movie and television producers around the globe.

So I thought ‘why not?’  I’ve had several readers say that my books would make an interesting movie or television show. With that in mind, I submitted the details for “Why 319?”

Yesterday I learned that the story has been chosen for the next round in “Discovery”.  That will begin on Monday, February 10, 2020 starting at 10:00 a.m. PST.  The competition will run until Friday, February 14, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. PST.  Anyone can vote, simply by going to their website and clicking on the Discovery section.  Then just scroll down until you see “Why 319?” and my name.  Sounds pretty easy.  I’d greatly appreciate your votes and support.

If you’re not familiar with the story, here’s a sample.

A serial killer is on the loose in metro Detroit. Three female victims have been discovered in motel rooms in different suburban cities surrounding Motown. The only connection is that each body is found in Room 319, and the killer leaves the taunting message “Why 319?” on the bathroom mirror, written with the victim’s lipstick.

Detective Jefferson Chene heads up an elite squad of detectives assigned to the case. With no home life, he devotes every waking moment to catching killers. But this one is more elusive than most. With no clues and no apparent link between the victims, Chene is at a dead end. But a startling revelation busts the case wide open. He’s closing in on the murderer, but will it be before another young woman loses her life?
